Wittelsbacher Bridge, Munich

client State Capital of Munich

The Wittelsbacher bridge in Munich crosses Kapuzinerstraße over the Isar river to Schyrenplatz. The structure is a 4-span arched bridge with an overall length of about 140 metres. It includes a wide-span arch over the river at the north-west end and three smaller arches as a foreland bridge. Significant damage to the bridge was discovered during the expert examinations. The State Capital of Munich is therefore planning a general renovation of the listed building.
