St. Michael’s Daycare Centre, Kempten

The project for the construction of a new kindergarten in Kempten includes tailor-made engineering solutions focussing on engineering control, verification of fire resistance and timber construction connections. The ground floor of the two-storey building includes a multi-purpose room, a dining room and technical rooms. The building was designed as a wood-hybrid construction with highly insulated timber-frame facades, and features an asymmetrical gable roof. Due to the geological conditions, the daycare centre was constructed on a flexibly supported floor slab with frost-proof soil replacement to ensure stability and longevity.
