The pedestrian bridge across the 90 metre deep Pöllath gorge is characterised by its special design. The half-timbered bridge, which was built in 1967, has a central normal force joint and a 50 metre span. It is frequented by large numbers of visitors every day. As part of this project, the bridge structure was statically checked in order to determine the load-bearing capacity and stability thereof. A static evaluation with regard to the framework housing was also issued.
