Restoration of the historic granary. This makes extended use of the museum possible, while preserving the listed parts of the building. The statics and the fire safety aspects of the roof structure were upgraded, and damaged wooden parts were carefully restored. Barrier-free access was created by installing a lift with minimal intervention in the historical parts of the building. Resource-preserving measures such as the use of beech beams optimised the CO2 balance, and removed the need for additional fire protection cladding. The renovation combines historical building structures with modern requirements, and ensures that the building can be used as a cultural monument and museum in the future.
