Hackerbrücke, Munich

The Hackerbrücke is an important landmark in the city centre of Munich with its striking appearance. It crosses the tracks at the front end of Munich's main train station, connects the Schwanthalerhöhe and Maxvorstadt districts and includes the Hackerbrücke tram stop and the bus station ZOB. The filigree riveted half-timbered structure is a beautiful example of historical architecture, and is under a preservation order. Because of considerable damage to the historical steel structure and the solid components, the structure is going to be subjected to a general repair.
