Because of the planned construction of a pedestrian and bike path and the stability deficits which have been discovered, the bridge will be completely rebuilt. The new superstructure consists of a single-cell reinforced steel composite box girder, erected in cantilever construction with a carriageway slab consisting of prefabricated parts and cast-in-place concrete. A special feature is the one-sided widening of the carriageway slab on the west abutment to create an exit lane to the B 308. The demolition of the old superstructure will take place partially using conventional means and partially using a supporting frame. The substructures will also be completely renewed.
