B10/B28 bridge over the B10 (Europastraße), Neu-Ulm

The existing structure had static deficits and provided insufficient clearance. Within the scope of the renovation, the existing single-span beam of the superstructure was replaced with a modern two-span beam. A centre support with deep foundations was inserted in order to guarantee the load-bearing capacity of the new superstructure. The existing abutment was also adapted and widened at one side in order to absorb the new loads.
