The structure crosses the biotope of the Sterbecke as a continuous beam. Stability is provided by the abutments, which are arranged at right angles to the route. The flow of traffic is optimised by a clothoid which merges into a radius. The superstructure provides room for three lanes and one acceleration lane in each direction. The bridge connects directly to the Lüdenscheid North exit and the Sterbecker Siepen PWC system, and is a main traffic artery of the region.
