BIM method
The BIM method (Building Information Modeling) is a digital approach to the planning, implementation and management of infrastructure and structural engineering projects. All of the relevant data is recorded in a networked 3D model. The digital model makes transparent communication and smooth communication between all project participants possible. The BIM method is already used in 90% of all projects at KB – even without specific instructions from the client. As BIM specialists, we also help institutions and companies in the construction and real estate industry to recognise the potential of this innovative technology and make optimum use of it.

As pioneers from the very beginning, we have invested a great deal of our experience and know-how in the further development of BIM, and have therefore carried out pioneering work. Artificial intelligence
The use of artificial intelligence in construction is in its early stages. However, AI is also becoming increasingly important in this industry. Intelligent algorithms make planning and construction processes more efficient and more precise. They have the potential to revolutionise the construction industry. Similarly to our pioneering role in the use of the BIM method, as a holistic engineering service provider we also want to play a leading part in the implementation of AI in construction. We are drawing up use cases for the deployment of artificial intelligence. We are currently involved in a research project for AI-based, interactive bridge planning (KIBIP). We make use of our engineering knowledge to support the collaborative generative machine and deep learning in parametric bridge planning.
